Make Oven Fried Rabbit

If you like hunting for your food and eating rabbit then this recipe is for you.I personally don't eat Wild Game, but that doesn't stop me from sharing the recipes I have with someone like you who does. It is hard to find Wild Game recipes so Im glad to share some on Bukisa. This one is for making Oven Fried Rabbit. Recipe says that domestic rabbit works better, because it is meatier and has a better taste (less wild) than wild rabbit has.

Heat a large skillet. Pour oil into skillet and heat. Put flour in shallow bowl for dipping pieces. Next, put the egg bowl by the flour bowl. Dip rabbit pieces in the flour, then in the beaten egg, and then back into the flour once more to coat. Salt and pepper the pieces to taste.

Fry pieces in the hot oil until browned all over and then place the browned pieces with drippings in a covered pan or casserole dish. Add a little water. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. To crisp up the pieces, remove the pan cover for the last 10 15 minutes of baking time.

Be sure to check out my many other wild game recipes in Bukisa!
